The Consortium of Associated Lemon Producers of Rocca Imperiale, proprietors of the Limorè brand, outlined the future prospects for the lemon industry. This included a discussion of the strategic objectives for the upcoming season, which will begin in approximately one month.
President Pietro Buongiorno explained how the Calabrian consortium's efforts over the past six years have fostered new commercial relationships. Despite forecasts predicting a general volume contraction in the Rocca Imperiale area, the consortium is focusing on expanding its reach abroad. The goal is to increase shipments by 40%, especially to Japan and the United Arab Emirates.

The plant is currently showing excellent growth. The abundant rainfall over the past few days has allowed it to regain vigor and produce larger fruit. However, a greater temperature range is needed for the fruit to turn completely yellow.
In terms of volume, lemon production is down around 30%. The president points out that this reduction is mainly due to a significant drop in fruit during the flowering and fruit-set phase caused by high humidity and spring precipitation.

The consortium relies on solid business relationships when planning its activities. Its business strategy includes expanding into key markets, such as Japan and the United Arab Emirates. Its representative offices in Dubai and Abu Dhabi have developed a strategic communication plan that highlights the qualities and benefits of Limorè lemons, such as their intense aroma and high juice yield. Another characteristic that distinguishes the product for consumers is its untreated peel after harvest.
The Limorè 2025/26 branded lemon campaign is scheduled to start on 15 December.
