Kyrgyz apple imports from China drop fivefold in May

Apple imports from China to Kyrgyzstan fell sharply in May 2025, decreasing fivefold compared to the same month last year, according to China's General Administration of Customs.

Only 1,300 tons of apples were imported during the month, at an average price of around $1.50 per kilogram.

From January to May, cumulative imports reached approximately 10,000 tons, which is half the volume imported during the same period in 2024.
