With less than two weeks remaining, preparations are underway for the upcoming Fruitnet Tropicals Congress, set to take place at the Hilton Old Town in Antwerp on 24 and 25 June. The event will bring together professionals from all parts of the tropical and exotic fruit supply chain for a day focused on discussion, insight, and networking.
Keynote presentations will feature the latest trade and consumer data, with contributions from Rabobank and Kantar. The congress will explore how the sector can align with major consumer trends—such as healthy eating and snacking—to increase sales and better engage future consumers.
Sessions will examine how the fresh-cut fruit segment is driving demand for tropicals. Attendees will also gain insight into how developments in logistics, ripening, postharvest handling, and packaging are contributing to improved quality and availability of tropical fruit across Europe.
The event will include a discussion on the future structure of the tropical fruit supply chain and provide category-specific insights into pineapples, avocados, mangoes, and limes. Additionally, participants will hear perspectives on how European producers can respond to the rising demand for tropical fruit.
The congress will conclude with a study tour of the Port of Antwerp, offering a boat-based view of the largest tidal dock in the world and a key entry point for fresh produce into Europe.
For those in the tropical and exotic fruit industry, the Fruitnet Tropicals Congress offers an opportunity to connect with buyers, suppliers, service providers, and other stakeholders while gaining access to both established expertise and emerging talent.
