Recent price data from the Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs (DEFRA) reveals notable fluctuations in the prices of several fresh produce items in the UK. Similarly, "Apples Gala" also experienced a drop, with the average price falling from £1.28 per kilogram last week to £1.16 this week, a reduction of £0.12, equivalent to 9%.

In contrast, the price of strawberries has shown an upward trend. The average price of strawberries increased from £7.21 per kilogram in the previous week to £7.52 in the current week, reflecting a rise of £0.31, or 4%. This increase highlights a positive price adjustment in the strawberry market, contrasting with the downward trend observed in certain apple varieties.
