Iran's tomato exports hit $233 million

The Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) reported that Iran's tomato export value reached $233 million in the past Iranian calendar year 1403, ending on March 20. According to the report, agricultural exports from Iran increased by 29 per cent, totaling $5.2 billion. The country exported 7.6 million tons of agricultural products in the year, reflecting an 11 per cent rise in weight from the previous year.

Pistachios, tomatoes, and dates were key export commodities. Pistachio exports led the sector, generating $1.5 billion, with tomatoes following at $233 million and dates at $205 million.
