South Punjab mango crop shows strong yield potential

Mango orchards in South Punjab are indicating a potential for robust yield this season, with observations pointing to healthy fruit development. Although the fruit is not fully mature, experts anticipate a favorable harvest if weather conditions remain stable.

Scientific Research Officer Abid Hameed stated, "The overall condition of the mango crop was satisfactory, with fruiting appearing better than in previous years." While hopper attacks have been reported in certain areas, they are currently managed through timely intervention.

Hameed advised growers to follow recommended practices to maintain and enhance crop quality. He emphasized the importance of applying potassium at this stage, noting it is crucial for improving fruit size, strengthening quality, and boosting overall production.
