The supply of American oranges continued to decline this week, further driving up prices. Traders noted that prices have increased from approximately $63–$64 per box two weeks ago to around $73–$75 per box. With fewer arrivals and a shrinking number of traders handling them, market supply has tightened. While the current batch of oranges is of good quality, the price hike has made buyers more cautious, raising concerns about market acceptance. Some traders indicated that once the current inventory is sold out, there may be no new shipments, potentially leading to an early end to this year's American orange season.

After rising in previous weeks due to limited supply, the price of New Zealand apples has begun to drop with a recent increase in arrivals. Traders expect prices may continue to fall. Among the varieties available, Rose apples entered the market in early April, but an underwhelming taste at the time was another factor contributing to price pressure. Currently, Rose apple prices vary widely, while Gala apples remain relatively stable. Ambrosia apples also debuted last week, with small-sized fruit arriving this week priced around ¥530 per box—similar to last year—but sales are sluggish due to the high price point. With a strong harvest and earlier-than-usual market entry this season, the large volume of New Zealand apples continues to weigh on prices and slow down sales.

In the imported grape market, Australian and Peruvian green grapes are currently the most sought after, while Indian green grapes are seeing slower sales. Traders say Australian grapes are especially popular due to their fresh taste and green stems. Although Peruvian grapes don't have green stems, they offer a good flavor and are also well-received. Despite lower arrival volumes compared to previous years, grape prices have declined rather than increased, largely due to soft consumer demand.
As temperatures rise across various regions, the demand for coconuts has picked up. Over the past two weeks, the prices of both Thai and Vietnamese coconuts have increased by approximately $1.40 per box. Thai coconuts are currently selling for about $12 per box, while Vietnamese coconuts are priced around $10.60. Traders report that recent sales have been smooth.

Durian arrivals are increasing steadily, leading to a drop in prices. Premium Thai Monthong A6 durians are now selling for around $153 per box, down about 15% from last week, while slightly lower-grade batches are priced at approximately $125 USD. Price variations across different vendors remain significant. Though arrivals are still limited compared to previous years, buyers are taking a more cautious approach this season.
Meanwhile, Philippine pineapple imports have surged in recent weeks, causing prices to fall. In late March, prices typically ranged from $22–$29 per box for an extended period. However, pineapples priced at around $16.80 per box are now more commonly seen on the market.
