Argentina's Minister of Deregulation, Fede Sturzenegger, has announced changes impacting the fruit industry. The regulation overhaul aims to streamline processes, reducing administrative burdens on producers.
Key adjustments include the removal of requirements for facility certifications and harvest permissions, alongside more flexibility in packaging options. Additionally, export restrictions based on fruit type have been eliminated.
SENASA, the National Service for Health and Food Quality, will now concentrate on sanitary surveillance and the issuance of phytosanitary certificates for exports. This reform aligns with a larger initiative spearheaded by President Javier Milei to promote economic growth through deregulation.
