Kyrgyzstan halts dried vegetable exports to over five countries

Between January and November 2024, Kyrgyzstan exported 141.2 tons of dried vegetables, a sharp decline from 667.7 tons during the same period in 2023. The most significant changes occurred in exports to countries such as Afghanistan, Iraq, Turkmenistan, and Ukraine.

Exports to Afghanistan were completely halted in 2024. Shipments to Iraq dropped to 45.8 tons, down from 276.9 tons last year. Exports to Turkmenistan and Ukraine also decreased.

However, despite the overall decline, there were positive developments. Kyrgyzstan began supplying dried vegetables to Germany (6.5 tons), Italy (0.1 tons), and France (1.3 tons) in 2024. Additionally, exports to the United Arab Emirates rose to 47.8 tons from 37.1 tons in 2023. South Korea also significantly increased its imports, reaching 9.9 tons.
