In 2024, Russia reduced its exports of fruits, nuts, and vegetables to the European Union by three times compared to 2023, according to Eurostat data.
From January to November, the EU imported these goods from Russia worth €121.1 million, 2.8 times less than during the same period in 2023. This includes €84 million for vegetables, €17.1 million for fruits and nuts, and €20 million for processed products.
Nuts were the top export, with a value of €14.3 million. Other items exported to the EU included asparagus, eggplants, celery, cucumbers, and other vegetables.
