Firefighters called to put out banana truck fire in Westmoreland County

Pennsylvania firefighters have been called to put out banana truck fire in Westmoreland County. An investigation into the causes is underway. The Youngwood Volunteer Fire Department was called to the New Stanton Service Plaza on the Pennsylvania Turnpike. There, they found a trailer on fire.

Due to the trailer hauling pallets of bananas, Magill's Auto Service was called in to assist with dismantling the trailer to extinguish the fire.

They were able to quickly knock down the fire, but the trailer was destroyed. No injuries were reported.
