Brightest in Australia's horticulture to be celebrated at Hort Connections 2023

A stellar lineup of industry leaders has been nominated for the National Awards for Excellence – the Australian horticulture industry’s most prestigious recognition. With 88 growers, businesses, research, and industry nominees for nine award categories, including the highly-coveted Syngenta Grower of the Year, Corteva Agriscience Young Grower of the Year, and Boomaroo Nurseries Women in Horticulture awards.

Hort Connections 2023 will explore the theme of “Knowledge for Growth” to ensure the industry is primed to take advantage of the next generation of research, technology, and business innovation to grow the production and value of the horticulture industry.

The Awards will be announced on Wednesday, June 7, at the National Awards for Excellence Gala Dinner, the capstone event for Hort Connections 2023. The Awards highlight the accomplishments of the industry’s leaders and give an opportunity for the industry to celebrate the best and brightest in their field. The Awards recognize outstanding growers in multiple categories across horticulture, as well as researchers, innovative businesses, and leading exporters.

The award categories are:
Syngenta Grower of the Year; Corteva Agriscience Young Grower of the Year; Bayer Researcher of the Year; Butler Market Gardens Environment & Sustainability; UPL Tech Innovation Award; E.E. Muir & Sons Community Stewardship; Hort Innovation Exporter of the Year; Boomaroo Nurseries Women in Horticulture; VISY Industry Impact.
