Fepex's next assembly in Lleida will focus on climate change and digitalization

This January 31, FEPEX will hold in Lleida its 63rd assembly, which will focus on the climate's effects on agriculture, especially on the fruit and vegetable sector, and on the opportunities that digitalization and technological innovation offer the sector.

The assembly will begin at 12 in the morning at the University of Lleida, and it will be inaugurated by the president of FEPEX, Jorge F. Brotons Campillo, and the president of the Fruit Business Association of Catalonia, AFRUCAT.

After the inauguration, the Professor of Physics at the University of Alcala de Henares, Antonio Ruiz de Elvira, will give a lecture on the effects of climate change on agriculture.

After that, a round table, moderated by the director of AFRUCAT, Manel Simon, will address the opportunities of digitalization and technological innovation. The round table will be attended by the president and CEO of Hispatec, Jose Luis Molina; the director of Agrifood Innovation of Cajamar, Roberto Garcia Torrente; the sector leader of FI-Group, Carmen Ovejero, and the president of Click, SCCL.

Finally, the assembly will conclude with the intervention of Maria Jose Sanchez, director of Fruit Attraction, who will discuss the next edition of Fruit Attraction, which will be held from October 3 to 5 in Madrid.
