Hepro has launched its universal peeling machine UP-6000 at the beginning of 2023. It closes the gap between the large industrial machine that is the UP-8000 and the ultra-compact HSM-U/W. With its hourly peeling capacity of approx. 6,000 pieces, it is exactly in the midfield of its sister machines.
"The UP-6000 combines the technical progress of the UP-8000 combined with the compactness of the HSM-U/W. We are thrilled to now be able to meet the requirements of operations that fall between small processors and large-scale industry - both in terms of peeling requirements and budget," explains Christoph Wolter, Managing Director of Hepro Ltd. "With this development, we are only being consistent, as we have equally accomplished such a synthesis between industrial machines and compact systems with our asparagus peeling machines."
"We have taken customer feedback as an opportunity to develop completely new functions for universal peeling machines. We have now incorporated these into the UP-6000 for the first time," says Philipp Haupt from the sales management team. "For example, the automatic two-fold jam detection is a quantum leap. With this sophisticated function, the machine switches off automatically if it detects blockages in the infeed or losses in the throughput. For the customer, this means an increase in utilization rate while reducing process losses."
High peeling performance and quality, small footprint
"The high functional density of the UP-6000 suits many customers, which means this unique ratio of a high peeling performance and quality with a small footprint," Alex Fröse from Sales adds. This also applies to the transport rolls: with 18 rolls, it manages with half as many rolls as the UP-8000 - with an identical quick-change system and the same easy accessibility. How accessible? The UP-6000 is equipped with lockable rollers and is in no way inferior to the HSM-U/W in terms of mobility."
The UP-6000 features a peeling range of 20-65 mm diameter with a minimum length of 150 mm. It is suitable for elongated vegetables such as carrots, cucumbers, radishes and salsify.
