According to data from FreshFruit, so far this year, Peru has exported just over 219 tons of Lady Finger bananas worth 674,000 dollars, i.e. a 72% increase in volume and a 63% increase in value over the same period of last year.
Italy was the main destination, receiving almost all exports, with 219 tons worth 673,000 dollars. It was followed by Spain, which acquired 110 kilograms.
Redesign Consulting By Promer S.A.C. was the Peruvian exporter responsible for shipping all the cargo to Italy. Exportadora & Negocios Aljo E.I.R.L. and Industrias Noval S.A.C. opened the Spanish market with the Bizcocho and Manzanito varieties, respectively.
