Guangzhou port prepares for faster handling of Chilean Cherry Express containers

The Nansha port in Guangzhou, China is preparing extra measures to receive and handle the first of 10 weekly Chilean Express vessels loaded with the fruit more smoothly.

The port has introduced extra measures for the arrivals that are expected from mid-December. Containers will be directly loaded onto trucks to go to cold chain warehouses to complete one-stop service for inspection, disinfection and nucleic acid tests says the port company.

The port constructed three additional cold warehouses to handle an increasing volume of fruit, as well as six more planned in the near future.
