Lincolnshire agri-tech firm B-hive Innovations has relocated to larger premises to further its expansion into the fresh produce industry, with the move creating 12 new jobs.
The company has moved into a 2,680 sq ft workspace at the Alchemy Building on Lincoln Science & Innovation Park just a stone’s throw from its previous offices at Boole Technology Centre reports www.thebusinessdesk.com
The move is expected to enhance B-hive’s project delivery and commercialised entity capabilities.
It comes after the firm secured the backing of Innovate UK and DEFRA to research and develop sustainable ways to grow, store and transport potatoes. In September, B-hive, along with several commercial and academic partners, was awarded £2.06m by The Farming Innovation Programme to investigate new methods that will contribute towards a net zero carbon supply chain.
Its new office boasts meeting rooms, hot-desking space and a dedicated cluster for machine learning.
