The mainland market makes the java apple the most promising fruit

"I am the first person to try to plant so many java apples in a concentrated area on the mainland. Now my base can achieve 'flowering and fruiting all year round." Huang Yifeng, general manager of Hainan Jindefeng Agricultural Development Co., Ltd., said.

The mainland market is vast. Combining Taiwan's planting technology and management experience, Hainan's java apple industry has been driven to develop in a quality-effective manner. He believes that in the future, the market prospect of the java apple in the mainland will be even better than other fruits.

Hainan is one of the few provinces in China that are suitable for planting the java apple. At present, the java apple planting industry has reached a certain scale. The industry has gradually become an emerging industry with regional characteristics to increase farmers' income and increase agricultural efficiency in Hainan's warm areas.

Huang, as a Taiwanese businessman was engaged in the fruit import and export business in Taiwan in the 1990s. After visiting Hainan in 1998, Huang found that the climate conditions and customs here are very similar to those in Taiwan. The huge mainland market provides unlimited space for the development of enterprises. In addition, Taiwan’s agriculture is facing problems such as expensive labor and land. After some investigation, Huang made up his mind to invest in Hainan and build a growing base.

For more than 20 years, Huang has focused on the cultivation of java apples and traveled to Beijing, Shanghai and other big cities to promote the java apple grown in Hainan. At present, there are 3 bases in Haikou, Wenchang, and Tunchang, planting more than 86 hectares and more than 20,000 plants. Among them, the company's self-developed special variety "China Red" is a best-seller in mainland China.

"The mainland market has broad prospects for development, and the younger generation of Taiwanese still have relatively great development opportunities in the mainland, especially in the agricultural field," Huang said.
