Vietnam's Central Highlands province of Dak Lak have officially exported the first batch of 6 tons of macadamia nuts to Japan.
A ceremony was held to send off the first batch of nuts worth 2 billion VND ($80 426). The province has 2 363 hectares of macadamias, with 1 000 in full production producing over 1 700 tons. It will increase production to meet the exacting requirements of the Japanese market.
