Gargano Sapori

"200 types of liqueurs and 50 types of jam sold all over Italy and Europe"

Gargan'Ok boasts a facility of over 1,300 sq m and 20 employees who work all year round to produce spirits, jams and other artisanal products made with citrus fruits and certified fruits, sold all over Europe under the Gargano Sapori brand.

These products know no crisis or drops in orders despite the difficult economic period. FreshPlaza has talked about it with Mario Maratea, owner of the company from Monte Sant'Angelo (Foggia - Apulia- Italy).

"We produce hundreds of liqueur bottles every day, which are then destined to supermarkets, stores and wine shops in Italy, Spain, France, Britain, Germany, Romania and Albania. The numbers mean we can keep final prices low without renouncing quality. There is a general atmosphere of uncertainty, but we have become a point of reference for the more sophisticated palates and for the lovers of genuine food."

For Gargano Sapori, the concept of short chain creates a direct relationship between producers, buyers and consumers. "We know all our producers, they supply the raw materials we use to obtain our fully natural products, free from preservatives, pectin and acidifiers."

"We produce 200 types of liqueurs and artisanal creams, available in the 100, 200, 500 and 700 ml versions. The most popular are Antico Amaro del Gargano (made using a unique production process and with Femminello del Gargano IGP lemons, PGI oranges from Gargano and olive leaves) and Crema I Love Puglia, especially the fig, peach and orange flavors."

The facility also produces around one thousand jam jars a day with a weight between 180 g and 1 kg. "We have 50 different flavors, including PGI lemon, persimmon, pomegranate, cedar and prickly pear, all made using local fruit."
