“Asia is actually the largest market for us when it comes to apples”

Turkish fruit grower and exporter Ana Fruit will be exhibiting during Asia Fruit Logistica in Thailand this year. Currently, they’re working with their apples, shipping a lot of them towards Asian markets. According to Kubra Guven, marketing manager of Ana Fruit, the feedback for this year’s shipments has been positive.

“We’re in the midst of shipping our Gala and Granny Smith apples, so our season is in full swing. Packing for the Red Delicious variety has also started. We’re supplying both international and the domestic market and feedback for the first arrivals has been great so far. Ana Fruit’s capacity is packing 200 tons of apples and 40 tons of pomegranates on a daily basis. So, we can say that our demand is normal for now with packing around 120 tons in total for both fruits per day.”

For apples specifically, Asia is actually the best market for Ana Fruit, Guven explains. “Even though our main market for cherries and pomegranates is in Europe, Asia is actually the largest market for us when it comes to apples. In addition to that, we do a solid amount of air-shipments with cherries to more than 40 countries, most of them to Far Eastern countries. So, Asia is indeed a great market for us, with growing potential still. We expect to increase the volumes and discover new markets for our delicious apples and pomegranates.”

“We are very excited to welcome everybody to our stand during Asia Fruit Logistica 2022 in Bangkok- Thailand. We are a supplier of apples, pomegranates and cherries that are sourced from all over the Turkey. Our goal is to maintain our current position in the Asian market and also expand our customer range to more countries all over Asia. Join us in the Turkish Pavilion. Booth: N-13,” Guven concludes.
