On October 3rd, the boards of directors of the Agrial and Natura’Pro cooperatives announced their plan to merge. This project is based on a shared desire to build a common future at the service of their farmer-members, while respecting the cooperative values and favoring the structuring of synergies.
Agrial is already present in the Rhone Valley through the farmer-members of the southeastern Alp region, and a number of food processing plants in the area (Priméale in Feillens and Florette in Isle-sur-la-Sorgue).
Natura’Pro wants to strengthen its commitment in favor of its farmer-members by reinforcing the daily support on the farms (technical expertise, evolution of practices…) and by promoting their productions through food processing and the implementation of chain approaches. This merger project is currently awaiting consultation with employee representative bodies and an agreement from the French Competition Authority.
