PopFest Open Days take place from September 26 to 30

Inspiring things are popping up on the horizon! What exactly, our customers can experience for themselves during the PopFest Open Days. From September 26 to 30, 2022, we will open our doors for growers, dealers and partners to discover our newest varieties and latest innovations. PopFest is the place where everything comes together. The fields, our focus, food for thought and – most importantly – our Pop Friends.

Focus is in our genes
Focus leads to great things. We focus on a limited number of crops, allowing us to offer the best varieties and solutions that add value to all members of the food chain. From growers to consumers. Our focus allows us to have in-depth conversations and understand the market challenges and opportunities growers face. During PopFest, we will give customers technical advice for specific growing areas and share the latest market trends and insights.

Inspiration for chain partners
We want to inspire both growers and chain partners with our solutions. Climate change, sustainability, taste and health are high priorities. During PopFest, we showcase what our Magma Collection® has to offer; a collection of bean varieties that deliver high marketable yields under heat and other stress conditions. The dark green pods are popular among a growing number of consumers due to the fresher appearance. For spinach, customers can discover our Spinach 365® solution: spinach varieties that meet the need for year-round uniform, dark and round spinach leaves with good crunch.

Innovation in seed technology: KWS INITIO
With KWS INITIO, we introduce a new, innovative and efficient seed treatment that has been optimized for beans and spinach. KWS INITIO is a nutrient-rich coating that gives a strong and uniform start to bean and spinach seeds, allowing the crop to reach its full growth and yield potential. During PopFest, Anita van Nieuwenhoven, Seed Treatment Specialist at Pop Vriend Seeds, will be present, taking visitors through seed treatment trials and show the results of her research into alternative seed treatments in spinach and beans.

Food for thought
Of course, our breeders, sales specialists, and product managers show customers our newest innovations in the demo fields. But there is more to experience. Our beans, spinach, chard, and red beet varieties are reflected in everything customers will see ánd taste during PopFest. Literally, some food for thought to ensure the senses are put into full focus.
