Proyecto Terra enters the blueberry market with the sale of 1,400 lots in Peru

After selling, in a record time, more than 1,500 pitahaya lots of the American Beauty variety, Proyecto Terra wants to repeat the feat with areas of new genetic quality blueberries. Diego Rodriguez, manager of R Coorp, said they have allocated 160 hectares for the sowing of blueberry, which means they will be selling 1,400 lots, each valued at more than S/45,000. In fact, in the first week of sales, the company already sold 70 lots.

The price is related to the cost of the two patented varieties of blueberry that the company will acquire, in addition to the advice and accompaniment of its experts.

In the 2023-2024 campaign, this project is expected to yield its first 2,500 tons of blueberries and begin exporting the first official shipments of pitahaya to Europe, which are estimated to exceed 2,000 tons.

"We want to be exporting three different crops by 2024. We have already identified the third crop we'll be working with, but we'll disclose it when we officially launch it next December," he said.
