Egypt’s agricultural exports exceeded 4.7 million tons from 1 January to 14 September 2022. The data was compiled in a report delivered to Minister of Agriculture El-Sayed El-Quseir from the Central Administration of Agricultural Quarantine, the agriculture ministry said.
The crops that topped the list of agricultural exports from in that period were citrus, potatoes, fresh onions, grapes, fresh tomatoes, sweet potatoes, strawberries, fresh green beans, guava, garlic, mango, watermelon and pomegranates. Citrus came in first place at 1.63 million tons, followed by potatoes at 843,632 tons and onions at 312,415 tons.
Over the same period last, agricultural exports reached about 4.8 million tons, with citrus, potatoes and fresh onions topping the list, according to the Ministry.
