A month before the fair, the Organizing Committee of Fruit Attraction has confirmed that more than 1,700 exhibiting companies from 52 countries have already confirmed their participation in one of the world's largest B2B events.
This figure will increase in the coming weeks as the deadline for applying to participate in the fruit and vegetable sector's biggest international event remains open. The event will have more than 55,000 square meters devoted to the fruit and vegetable supply in pavilions 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10 of IFEMA MADRID, i.e. 38% more than in the last edition, reaching the pre-pandemic parameters of 2019. At the moment, the presence of new companies in this edition accounts for 19% of the total. More than 80,000 professionals from 130 countries are expected to participate in the event.
Practically all the autonomous communities that produce fruits and vegetables in Spain will participate and exhibit their products at the event. This confirms the confidence of the sector in Fruit Attraction, whose success lies mainly in the great interest of the Spanish fruit and vegetable market for international marketing, precisely in a key month for campaign planning.
Companies from 52 countries will also participate in the event, effectively confirming Fruit Attraction as a key commercial event for the world's fruit and vegetable production, marketing, and distribution sectors. In addition to the strong European participation, Serbia and Albania, Colombia, the United States, Korea, Peru, Chile, South Africa, and India will participate in the event. There's also an increase in African participation, especially from Kenya, Guinea, and Côte d'Ivoire.
Fruit Attraction's International Guest Program offers participants a platform for international promotion and expansion. So far 600 buyers from 70 countries, including heads of retail purchases, importers, and invited wholesalers from all over the world have confirmed their attendance at the event.
This year, the Guest Importing Countries are the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and Canada.
This year, the fair added the Fresh Food Logistics area to the well-known Fresh Produce and Auxiliary Industry areas.
Fruit Attraction will also once again bet on transformation solutions through innovation, sustainability, and digitalization with the Smart Agro Area and Biotech Attraction. The fair will also hold an Ecorganic Market, an exclusive space for the marketing and export of organic products, which is continuing to gain strength. Strawberry will play a leading role in this edition with the Fresh&Star area.
The Innovation Hub and Foro Innova are the areas dedicated to innovation and business innovations in the sector. In this area, the fair will once again host the Innovation Hub Awards.
