After the Mid-Autumn Festival, papaya and guava are just coming into in season. A number of great activities are being planned.

The Municipal Bureau of Agriculture pointed out that the planting area of papaya in Nanshi is about 699 hectares, with a total output of more than 30,000 metric tons, accounting for about 25% of the total output in Taiwan. Among them, The Mountain District is one of the main production areas, with a planting area of about 58 hectares and an output of more than 1,800 metric tons. Yu Jiji, the mayor of The Mountain District, said that although papaya is a long-lasting fruit, it is the most delicious in autumn, and the cool autumn is also an excellent time to travel. The Papaya Festival hopes to take everyone to the mountains to eat papaya ice and papaya popsicles. In addition to papaya, there are also local guava, pineapple, banana, dragon fruit, avocado, and other sweet and juicy fruits for sale.

On the day, creative dishes such as papaya rice noodles, papaya dumplings, and papaya oil rice made by mothers in the community using local papaya as ingredients will be introduced to the public to taste. There are also fruit auctions, waterway stairs to the top, and other activities.
