Dutch trade mission to 'opportunity-rich Türkiye'

"The war in Ukraine and the Turkish Lira's devaluation has only increased Turkish fruit and vegetable export opportunities"

In 2021, RAAD International's John van Wijk, in partnership with the Dutch/Turkish Camber of Commerce, organized the first Dutch trade mission to Türkiye. Its success and participants' positive feedback encouraged John to arrange another exciting trip, filled with business and social contact points to Türkiye this year.

"We're visiting Türkiye with, specifically the fruit and vegetable sector, from October 16 to 21. We'll replicate last year's successful formula and will have plenty of personal and social contact moments. This year, we're heading to the rich agricultural regions of Mersin and Antalya. We'll go to the Interfresh Eurasia fair that's being held in Antalya. That keeps the focus on the agricultural sector. Plus, we'll visit various horticultural companies and fruit and vegetable exporters in and around Antalya," says John.

Participants can say beforehand what type of growers or companies they wish to visit. The local team in Türkiye will then try to find suitable connections for matchmaking conversations. "The war in Ukraine and the Turkish Lira's devaluation have only increased Turkish fruit and vegetable export opportunities. This mission gives entrepreneurs access to a broad network of Turkish counterparts."

"As well as growers, exporters, importers, and official bodies. Our strength lies in our innovative personal matchmaking models," explains John, "and our knowledge of business in Türkiye and the Netherlands. We also broadly and deeply understand the geographical, demographic, and cultural aspects."

Individuals and companies seeking the diverse commercial opportunities the Turkish fruit and vegetable sector has to offer are more than welcome to apply to join the mission. But that has to be before Friday, September 16. "Participants will meet very specific chain partners and gain new insights into the Turkish fruit and vegetable market's vast possibilities," John concludes.

The trip costs ± €2.200, which includes flights, hotels, local transport, guides or translators, and lunch and/or dinners.
