The Russian Federal Agency for the promotion of exports “AgroExport,” a department within the Ministry of Agriculture, announced that Moscow currently seeks a tenfold increase in agricultural exports to Morocco, compared to 2021. AgroExport said in a statement that Russia exported a total of 127,600 tons of agricultural products to Morocco in 2021.
Russia’s agriculture exports to Morocco were worth $49 million in 2021, representing only 0.1% of the total volume of Russian overall agricultural exports in the same year. The agency said to the press that Russia’s agriculture exports to Morocco could reach $500 million per year, including products such as cereals, meat, and vegetable oils, among other products.
