Interview with Davide Recupero of Axia Vegetable Seeds Italy

"The right approach at trade fairs is to listen"

"I am satisfied about my first time at Fruit Logistica as country manager for Axia Vegetable Seeds Italy, as it has been an occasion to share and compare ideas, useful for the growth of the horticultural community", says Davide Recupero.

"The fair is always an opportunity to reconnect with experts, but it is also a moment to capture the stimuli stemming from other entrepreneurs, whose examples are food for thought that inspire the improvement of professionals and companies".

"There are those who come to the fair to network and plan their activities, in line with the spirit of the event, which exists precisely to allow entrepreneurs to meet," added the country manager. "Personally, I think the best approach is to listen to one another, from the local grower to the manager, because both represent a cross-section of our territory, especially the Sicilian one, where production companies coexist in very different ways. It is our task to interpret the needs of all the companies in the supply chain."

Maxter F1

"In Berlin we exhibited our varietal range to an international audience - continued Recupero - We had several exchanges, and we are ready to face the new challenges of the market, ensuring to our customers a continuous research activity, which enriches continuously our varietal range."

"Among the many tomato selections, we have put in the spotlight Maxter F1, a vine tomato variety meant for both Italian growers and producers from other countries. Maxter F1 produces fruits with an average weight of about 130-150 grams and is suitable for transplanting in September, January and February in Sicily. The target markets for this tomato are both domestic and foreign, thanks to its long shelf life," concluded Davide Recupero.
