Kyrgyzstan to export vegetables worth $1 million to Kazakhstan

Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan have agreed to purchase vegetables and other products from each other. The agreement was reached during a working visit of Minister Bakhyt Sultanov to Kyrgyzstan. The agreement entailed companies from Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan supplying early vegetables (carrots and cabbage) worth $1 million to Kazakhstan.

The parties also discussed the process of forming the domestic commodity distribution network and a project for the creation of wholesale distribution centers in Kyrgyzstan and their further integration into the Eurasian commodity distribution system.

The creation of the storage and logistics system will increase exports of fruit and vegetable products from Kyrgyzstan from $90 million to $175 million. It will also reduce losses of fruit and vegetable products from 40% to 10%.
