Costa Rica seizes two containers with 220 kilos of cocaine

On Monday, the Costa Rican authorities seized 220 kilos of cocaine hidden within two containers from the Port Terminal in Limón (Caribbean). The containers carried fresh fruit as legal cargo bound for Belgium.

Drug Control Police officers detected two shipments each containing 110 packages of cocaine weighing approximately 1 kilo each, for a total of 220 kilos of cocaine. The drug was hidden in compartments of the containers that were transported as legal load fresh fruit and bound for the port of Antwerp, in Belgium.
