Peru exported 1,005,319 kilos of figs for a FOB value of $ 5,663,246 between January and November 2021. This is almost 27% more than the 793,969 kilos that the country exported in the same period of 2020 for 4,394,009 dollars.
According to the Agrodata website, the main destination of these shipments was the Netherlands, which in 2021 purchased figs for $ 2,747,107 (49% of total shipments). It was followed by the United Kingdom with $ 1,496,050, Germany with $ 294,218, Canada with $ 291,978, the United States with $ 241,663, France with $ 116,122, Hong Kong with $ 108,875, and other destinations that together amounted to $ 367,234.
The main Peruvian fig exporter up until August was Exportadora Frutícola del Sur SA.
