The overall market in Laos production areas is chaotic

China: Banana prices not influenced by cold snap.

Recently, the overall market for bananas in the three major domestic production areas has performed well in China. Although the cold wave hit and the number of cold-damaged bananas has increased, the overall market is not affected by the popularity of high-quality products, and the overall average price has not been affected either, even showing a slight increase. This is also due to the decrease in the volume of bananas in Guangxi and Guangdong production areas this week. There is a small gap between supply and sales. Bananas naturally sell well and the prices are acceptable.

In addition, there have been substantial transactions in the Laos production area, but the overall market is chaotic, with high-quality bananas at around 3.6-4.8 RMB/kg. At present, Laos ships through the Mohan Pass but Vehicles have a long queue time, and the freight costs have risen again. The overall market is average.

In the Guangxi producing area with the largest domestic shipments, the banana market is steadily improving. Most of the planting bases had already rushed to ship before the cold wave, and the overall volume is small. The shipment volume has decreased, but the dealers' orders are still showing a positive trend. The cold wave reached the Guangxi producing area recently and some of the bananas were damaged by the cold in this area. On the other hand, the price of high-quality bananas in Guangxi producing areas rose, and the increase was relatively high, with an increase of 0.6 RMB/kg on the day with the largest movement in prices.
