Uzbekistan a new frontier for Futura

"Uzbekistan is representing a new and increasingly interesting frontier for Futura, a company that manufactures small-medium sized sorting systems. Four new lines are about to be tested for a company growing peppers, tomatoes and cucumbers in greenhouses. Between 12th and 14th June 2019, Futura will take part in Agrotech Expo in Tashkent.

"In these former USSR countries, protected crops are growing. Vegetables are then exported mainly to Russia to be sold by retailers. This in turn means quality must be good, which is attainable only using state-of-the-art sorting machines," explains Futura manager Omar Papi.

"We have just set up three lines at a facility in Uzbekistan destined to sort peppers, tomatoes and cucumbers. The system sorts the produce by weight, diameter and color. Then the right compromise is needed to achieve uniformity. For cucumbers, the parameters are: weight, diameter, length and bending."

The systems manufactured by Futura are developed with small-medium businesses in mind and can generally process 2-5 tons/hour.

"We are very flexible when it comes to design and our keywords are reliability and simplicity. We train operators so that they can control and manage each single phase, but we can still provide advice remotely. There are also local technicians able to intervene in case of future maintenance problems although, thanks to the high reliability of our systems, many of our solutions have not registered a single problem for years."

"We can provide high-quality solutions at a competitive price, as Futura is an agile company with contained costs. In November, we will also attend Agroworld Kazakhstan, a small event that is attended by all those investors looking for new technologies."

Futua's software are provided in the clients' language, i.e. generally Russian. However, the interface can be in any idiom thanks to specific translations.
