Investment firm ACM acquires Suntreat citrus packing company
Agriculture Capital Management (ACM) is pleased to announce completion of the purchase of the Suntreat, TreeSource and Griffith Farms assets from the Griffith Family, effective November 13, 2015.
Since the 1960s, Dwight and Dennis Griffith have been key leaders in the California Citrus Industry, and it is with great humility that ACM sets out to build upon their strong legacy of integrity, quality and commitment. ACM is pleased to welcome President Mike George and the entire Griffith Team to the ACM family, and we look forward to working together to support our customers, our growers, and the entire citrus community.
New sales and marketing hire
ACM and Suntreat Packing & Shipping Co. also announce the hiring of produce industry veteran Roger Griess as Vice President of Sales & Marketing for citrus operations.
Griess, whose broad industry experience spans more than 20 years with companies such as Dole Food Company and Sun World International, assumes the leadership role previously held by Al Imbimbo, who passed away unexpectedly in September. “I’ve known Suntreat for many years and have always had a great respect for their people and their products. With the support of ACM, I look forward to building on what the Griffith Family has created both domestically and internationally.”
