China fresh veg directly from farm to supermarket

This year, the Chinese fresh fruit and vegetable market is marked by low prices and sales problems. Li Luo is the director of teh Guizhou Shuangdo Agriculture Product Association. He is worried about the sales of many of the crops currently on the market. This summer, plums and pears encountered sales problems. Currently ginger and apples are facing low prices.

Qingquan Luo is the director of the Dili Fruit Association. His concern is that because consumers are not able to purchase fruit and vegetable directly from the farmer, prices are inflated. To solve this problem, the Dili Fruit Association want to organise direct sales from growers to supermarkets, taking out wholesalers and other middle persons. This would give growers a better return on their crops.
