Demand for cauliflower stagnates

On the whole the German cauliflower dominated the trade, except for Munich and Hamburg where the French supply dominated the trade. The Italian and the Spanish supplies increased and completed the range together with the Belgian supply, which slightly decreased. The cauliflowers were mostly packaged in 6-boxes, containers with 8 pieces were rare. The supply was sufficient to meet the continuous demand.

If the modest demand rose at all it was from Thursday on. Therefore it was not surprising that the prices didn’t change significantly. Munich was the only exception, a stronger change in prices was evident: the Belgian cauliflowers became more expensive due to the fairly high weight of the cauliflowers.

In contrast all other offers of cauliflowers became cheaper. Yellow cauliflowers from Germany were available in Munich their prices remained stable.
