More than 400 exhibitors at compact New York Produce Show

On Wednesday December 2, the New York Produce Trade Show took place at the Jacob Javits Center in New York City. More than 400 exhibitors showcased their products and talked with (potential) buyers. Uniform-size booths made for a compact show that didn’t require a lot of ground to be covered.

Exhibitors shared the thought that traffic this year was a little lighter than last year. One exhibitor mentioned it may have to do with the fact that the PMA show took place on the East Coast as well a few weeks ago. This may have resulted in fewer people traveling to the eastern part of the country again just six weeks later.

Despite a smaller turnout, exhibitors were all very positive about the show and said it was another great opportunity to be in front of potential buyers. In addition to meeting with buyers, exhibitors proudly showed new products and new packaging with the focus on recyclable packaging continuing. Also, this show was represented by a large number of specialty produce companies.
