Green light for construction of offshore terminals Bremerhaven

The local water authorities approved the zoning planning for the 180 million Euro project.

The controversial offshore terminals in Bremerhaven (OTB) got the green light. The highest local water authorities issued zoning permission for the 180 million Euro port project in Blexer Bogen. The first preparations for the building already started, stated the politician Martin Günthner (SPD).

In December the contracts for the building works will be awarded. The heavy load facility on the river Weser should strengthen the offshore industry. “With the offshore terminals there is a strong possibility that several thousands of jobs can be created,” emphasized Günthner.
