Extensive apple assortment grows further

Germany has a solid grip on events and primarily provided Elstar, Royal Gala and Boskoop. Italy mostly supplied Golden Delicious and Royal Gala, and the first Red Chief arrived in Hamburg. France sent especially Granny Smith and Golden Delicious. Spanish fruit was of a complementary nature.

The already very extensive assortment grew further and was sufficient to meet the demand without a problem. Price reductions were hardly avoidable due to quantity. Polish offers were convincing in Hamburg with regard to their quality, so that they quickly found buyers at ca. € 7.50 per 13 kg box.

In Munich sales halted however, because the products turned out too small. Only the occasional batch still comes from overseas: New Zealand Jazz and Pink Lady constantly lost importance. In Frankfurt, new Pink Lady from South Africa are on sale for € 35 per 18 kg box.
