Grape supply in Europe falling

The European supply of grapes is continuing to fall, reports the German Agrarmarkt Informations-Gesellschaft (AMI) (Agricultural Market Information Service) on their website. Meanwhile on the German market there are barely any freshly harvested grapes but there are lots of offers for storage. The prices are rising due to the smaller supply.

This is being amplified by the small import volumes coming from Greece. It rained a lot there and producers expect the season to end early this year. Currently, however, there is still plenty available for the stores. A tightness in supply in the coming weeks is not unlikely, especially with the light, seedless grapes.
