Turkey starts to harvest grapefruit

Grapefruit season in Turkey this year has started a little earlier.

It is obvious that the southern regions of Turkey will become the main suppliers of grapefruit. The yield is expected to reach 180 thousand MT of fruit, which is 35% higher than last year.

Turkish exporters intend to significantly increase the shipments to Japan. Moreover, good yields of grapefruit in Turkey this year are advantageous for the Russian market, which is left without a bulk of imported products.
