The club will gather numerous producers and distributors under a single brand and philosophy i.e. that of a high quality product with uniform production techniques and checks against counterfeited produce. In addition to the exclusive Candonga packaging, all producers can use their mark next to the "Candonga" one, thus creating a system to guarantee high quality and immediate recognition.

Each member of the club will receive a certificate and a producer code to favour traceability. The club will use product specifications, a mark, regulations and clear marketing to contrast the phenomenon of "false Candongas", which has worryingly developed in the past few years.
Alexandre Pierron-Darbonne, chairman of Planasa, also attended, and he presented the work of the Spanish company as well as the various experimentations with strawberry, raspberry and other plants in Spain, Italy, Mexico, Chile, England and US. Iván Leache, commercial manager of Planasa, talked about the Candonga trend on the European market, stressing how 50% of the produce is cultivated in Southern Italy.

"Candonga strawberries found their perfect habitat in the Metapontino area. This territory is doing the best it can thanks to new production techniques and cultivars. The weather conditions and the water and soil characteristics make the produce unique," added Carmela Suriano.
"I am very proud of the fact I can be here to talk to you about the main points of our work. Unexplainably, Candonga strawberries reach the peak of their quality when they are cultivated in the Metapontino area," said Alexander Pierron-Darbonne.

"50% of European production is in Italy, but we still cannot explain the exceptional taste and organoleptic properties Candongas achieve in the Metapontino area," confirmed Iván Leache.
"Vincenti Sinergie" (Winning Sinergies) is the slogan chosen to promote the Club, so as to stress the cooperation to reach a common objective, i.e. consolidate Candonga in the Italian and European markets.

Mario Matera Group shall present the new visual identity of Candonga. Ylenia Pizzolla and Marion Materia, copywriter and Art director respectively, explained the importance of advertising, an added value that increases the success and recognisability of the product.
The www.candonga.it website was also inaugurated, opening with a commercial with the voice of Marina Vittoria Felli, dubber of Nicole Kidman, Katherine Kelly Lang and Michelle Pfeiffer.
