France: Del Monte® announcing opening of first ripening facility
Since January 2012 Del Monte France has been directly distributing its Fruits in France. As of January 2nd, 2014 Del Monte® will also be able to distribute yellow bananas thanks to a state of art ripening facility. Del Monte France is currently building up a distribution centre of 3000sqm located in the Delta zone. After completion of current works the ripening rooms will be able to stock 27MT and the facility will also have the capacity to store 500 pallets for other fruit, different from bananas, namely deciduous, citrus and tropical fruit. In addition this unit will also be exploited for the production and distribution of fresh cut.
