Approval for Onion packaging in southern Argentina

The Onion in Origin Certification Program, ran by FUNBAPA, reported that the inspection of packaged onions, which will later be approved by SENASA, began as of last Friday, November 1, 2013.

Packers from the Villarino and Patagones parties that want their establishments to be approved should go to the Mayor Buratovich Operations Centre, between Monday and Friday from 8:30 to 16:30, or contact the numbers 0291 - 4917100/4917720. There, they will be advised on the required documentation and requirements that the facilities have to fulfil.

It is important to remind packers that they should get their establishments approved in advance of the onion export season, to avoid delays and higher costs.
