Spanish tomato prices surpass the Dutch in London

According to data provided by Spain's Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness and reported by Andalusia's Government, Spanish long-life tomatoes have overcome their Dutch counterparts as the most expensive in the London market, taking into account the modal prices (average of the most frequent prices) for week 44 (28 October to 3 November).

Spanish pear tomatoes have also become more expensive than the Dutch, as the former stood at around 1.18 Euro per kilo, while the latter reached an average of 1.08 Euro per kilo.

Meanwhile, the value of Dutch peppers remains higher than that reached by Spain's produce. The average price for all Spanish pepper varieties in London stood at approximately 1.18 Euro per kilo, while Dutch peppers reached 1.81 Euro per kilo; 53.38% more.
