First annual International Asparagus Days to be held in Bordeaux, France

The first International Asparagus Days will take place on 3rd and 4th December in Aquitaine, the first French region producing asparagus, and more exactly in Le Barp (close to Bordeaux in France).

The goal of this new event is to bring together asparagus professionals from all over the world : amongst them - producers, marketers, sales and marketing people, input and services suppliers, researches and technicians journalists. There will be 100 exhibitors, and 1000 visitors are expected from 28 nationalities which makes up more than 40% of the word's asparagus production.

Three reasons to come to the International asparagus days:
  • The asparagus world meeting- Two days of exhibitions, conferences and equipment demonstrations, the technological innovation under a glass greenhouse of 3 hectares with photovoltaic roof
  • All the sectors represented- It concerns the whole industry : agro-suppliers, technology and service companies, marketer (importers, wholesalers, canning industry), research centres, official and consular institutions.
  • Several demonstrations- It devotes an important part of its activities to field demonstrations, especially of mechanisation and automation equipment in an asparagus farm of 90 ha + 2 ha of land without plants for shows.
  • Visit of an asparagus, blueberry field, and a raspberry farm in a photovoltaic greenhouse.
