Is this the breakthrough for the JadeWeserPort?

The development of the German deep water container port JadeWeserPort is behind on expectations so far, but soon regular container ships of the new P3 alliance are planned to sail into the harbour. The three global market leaders Maersk Line from Denmark, MSC from Switzerland and CMA CGM from France want to join parts of their fleets in the future and collaborate.

According to Maersk the alliance will have a capacity of 255 ships and 2.6 million containers in total, and will cross the distances between Asia and Europe, over the Pacific Ocean and around the Mediterranean Sea. They want to start this in the second quarter of 2014 - but various competition authorities from various countries still have to agree with the plans. If this all goes well, the JadeWeserPort will be visited by large container ships more often, which could lead to the terminals expected success.
