Switzerland: Lidl builds logistics centre

Lidl is building an 80 million Swiss franc (64.8 million Euro) distribution centre in the Swiss Sévaz, reports the German website Gabot.de. The construction started in mid October 2013 and the high rise construction will be finished in the spring of 2015.

The logistics centre will be 37,000 square meters big and 400 to 500 jobs will be created in the medium term. The distribution centre will ensure a more efficient supplying of the locations in western Switzerland. It is the second logistics platform of the discounter in Switzerland. The first distribution centre is located in Weinfelden.
